Let’s not forget our little ones…

Being a romance author, I spend most of my limited hours on marketing and focusing on adult readers.  I definitely don’t feel like I spend enough time reading to my soon-to-be 5-year-old.  Recently, I was introduced to Usborne Books, a children’s book publisher, and I immediately fell in love!  I attended several live Facebook parties and made a few purchases here and there and realized these books are just fabulous.  They are not your typical picture books or chapter books.  They have flaps, and cut outs, and stickers, and holes in pages that monsters “chew” through.  They have books that work with flashlights and books that kids can build things out of.  The uniqueness is just awesome!

I decided to become an independent consultant with Usborne and I am excited to get started on trying to help people build their children’s home libraries.  If you have never heard of Usborne, you have NO idea what you are missing!

I invite you to check them out and I would be more than happy to assist you with becoming more familiar with this fantastic children’s book publisher!

And if you find that you just have to have a few of their titles, shoot me an email and I can assist with that too!

Celebrate World Teacher’s Day

What can you do?

First, thank a teacher who made a difference in your life. Whether you’re still in school or you haven’t set foot in a classroom in years, World Teachers’ Day is the perfect time for all of us to tell our teachers that their work paid off.

Second, consider donating to a nonprofit organization that supports educators, such as Teachers Without Borders or Teach for America.
